Disaster Restoration Technician

Summary:

Disaster Restoration Technician position specializes in fire, water, trauma & mold damage cleanup. This position is for a responsible, committed and motivated person, looking to be part of a team that makes a difference in someone’s life. This is a full time position, which requires participation of the mandatory Emergency On-Call rotation for after hour emergencies. Position involves: water extraction and cleanup, demolition of various building materials, furniture/contents moving and handling, some work with mold remediation, and some work with smoke/fire damage cleanup.

Reconstruction and Repair Careers
Lead Carpenter:

Summary:

Skilled remodeling expert who has multi skill expertise and capable of handling all aspects of the managing and production of 1-3 projects depending on the size of the project. Will be involved with managing, overseeing, inspecting, and helping subs on the job. Additionally will do hands on production work ranging from trim carpentry, light electrical or plumbing to painting, and cleaning. A person coming out of their own business who has history of successful projects not only on the construction side, but also on the customer service and sub-contractor management side.

Job Qualifications:

8-10 Years Previous Experience Preferred in Construction and similar trades. Must possess basic tools of trade to allow performance of duties. Participate in emergency on call rotation

Experience:

Should have 8-10 years of experience successfully in own business or working as a lead carpenter in a remodeling company. Lead Carpenter is a full charge position that complies with our concept of financial accountability, job leadership, hands on aspects and customer service. Must be able to read and interpret documents such as work orders, operating and maintenance instructions, safety rules, and procedure manuals. Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using decimals, whole numbers, and common fractions. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages, proportions, area, circumference, and volume. Must be able to gather and analyze information skillfully, adapt very well to change and inconsistency in the workplace. Ability to exhibit high attention to detail, identify, and resolve problems quickly and efficiently, and exhibit patience and persistence in the face of obstacles.

Floor Installer Specialist:

Summary:

Responsible for installing commercial and residential flooring products while operating basic tools and flooring equipment. Also will coordinate with Department Manager and Lead Carpenters to complete every job successfully.

Job Qualification:

3-5 Years Previous Experience Preferred in Construction and similar trades. Must possess basic tools of trade to allow for performance of duties. Participate in emergency on call rotation.

Duties And Responsibilities:

Installs LVT, VCT, wood, laminate, ceramic, and other flooring as directed, mixes and applies required compounds to join and adhere foundation/flooring material, may be required to perform a variety of calculations related to surface area, cubic volume and material quantities, Sweeps, scrapes, sands, or cleans base surfaces to correct imperfections that may show through the covering. Determines traffic areas and decides location of seams as applicable. Cuts coverings and foundation materials according to blueprints and sketches. Uses and maintain hand tools, portable power tools, and stationary power tools in a safe manner Basic knowledge of tool and equipment safety, ability to identify and correct environmental or other workplace hazards Willingness to learn and receive instruction/direction from project leader.

Experience:

Experience with commercial & residential flooring installation, floor covering experience required, any combination of education and experience that demonstrates the knowledge and ability to perform the work, experience with commercial/retail settings preferred, but not required, must possess the skills to multi-task, work in a team setting, and meet deadlines Ability to read and understand blue prints, construction plans and layouts.

Drywaller/ Painter

Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Drywaller and Painter. Position is to perform all facets of drywall and painting. Also will coordinate with Department Manager and Lead Carpenters to complete every job successfully.

Job Qualification:

3-5 Years Previous Experience Preferred in Construction, Painting, Drywalling, or similar trades.

Duties And Responsibilities:

Drywaller/Painter will report to Department Manager or Lead Carpenter to receive work orders. The following includes any and all capabilities that will be expected to be performed from work orders with little to no supervision: Position requires participation of the mandatory Emergency On-Call rotation for after hours, Monday through Monday. Follow established safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe and clean working environment. Must have reliable transportation.

Carpenters Helper:

Summary:

Mid to Entry-level position for person with some demonstration skill levels in areas where company desires expertise. Typical skills might include painting, drywall finishing, trim carpentry, roofing/siding etc. Should be able to perform complete applications in at least three categories with supervision. Owns all basic carpenter tools as well as basic power tool selection. Shows ability to work unsupervised in demolition and several other areas. Also will coordinate with Department Manager and Lead Carpenters to complete every job successfully.

Job Qualification:

5-6 years verifiable experience in construction trades, owns basic carpenter tools including basic power tools, Ability to get to remote job sites on own, participate in rotating on call after hour rotation

Experience:

Must be able to read and interpret documents such as work orders, operating and maintenance instructions, safety rules, and procedure manuals. Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using decimals, whole numbers, and common fractions. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages, proportions, area, circumference, and volume.
